Our Hours

We offer live saltwater fishing bait – live shrimp (regulars and larger “handpicks”), pinfish, and during tarpon season, live crabs. We have frozen bait including frozen shrimp, squid, sardines, chum, and mullet.

We have various assorted artificial lures, weights, hooks, rod and reel combos, and other fishing tackle. We also carry fresh sandwiches, cold beer and soda, hot coffee, and a variety of chips and snacks.

Forgot your fishing license? No worries! We can get you fixed up with any Florida Saltwater and Fresh Water Fishing Licenses including Snook and Crawfish (Lobster) stamps. We are an authorized Florida sub-agent.

Are you going fishing tonight after work? Call us before 4 pm and we will put your live bait away for later. We want you to have the best and liveliest bait possible. Are you planning that offshore trip this weekend with the in-laws from up north? Call us and we’ll make sure your pinfish are ready when you are. Your in-laws will be impressed that you are such a great fisherman that you get preferential treatment at the bait shop (even if you haven’t been out fishing in three months).

Are you the hard-core fishing junky that needs just that special bait for the next Kingfish tournament? Call us and we will arrange to have that case of ballyhoo bait shipped in just for you.

Down on vacation and looking to go fishing with someone who really knows his fishing? We have some of Sarasota’s top saltwater fishing guides operating out of our shop. We can supply you with their names and contact numbers to get you hooked up.

Maybe you don’t fish at all and just want to soak up some Florida atmosphere. Come down and sit a spell. Enjoy a cold soda and a candy bar. Watch all the beautiful seabirds that hang around, chat with local fishermen, and catch an incredible sunset sitting on one of the many benches available.
